Safarti (سفرتي) · Last updated 11 October 2026

Safarti is a guide to places in Iraq and Kurdistan. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and where it is kept. It describes what the app actually does — not what it might do one day.

What we collect

What we do not do

Where it is kept, and who else sees it

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on servers in the European Union. Photos and other uploads are stored with Cloudflare R2. A small number of services necessarily handle some of your data:

Administrators of Safarti can see the content you submit — reviews, suggested places and the information attached to them — in order to review and publish it.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account exists. Content you have published, such as an approved review or a place that was added from your suggestion, remains part of the guide. Records of which places were viewed are kept in aggregate and are not linked to an identifiable person once the account they belonged to is gone.
